We had such a brilliant time hosting our London Festival of Architecture event 'Redesign Your Neighbourhood' the other week with the help of our friends at Common Works.

It was wonderful to see how the activity of collage created space for conversation. People turned up from all over London and beyond, sat down side-by-side with a drink and busily crafted for an hour, all the while chatting to their neighbours in a way that felt relaxed and natural.

In a world where so much of our interaction happens through screens, people naturally slowed down and connected with complete strangers. Alongside sparking discussions about architecture and the future of our neighbourhoods, it was a reminder of the value of simply bringing people together. Our city is not just buildings but people!
