NLA AWARDS
Senior Architect, Nico Guillen, represented Makower Architects at the NLA Awards 2025 lunch ceremony yesterday to celebrate the very best of London’s built environment. We are thrilled to share that Brent Cross Town won the Neighbourhoods & Areas category while Old Kent Road Area was awarded a Commendation in the Masterplans & Place Strategies category.
It was a privilege to contribute to both of these significant regeneration projects. On Brent Cross Town we were part of the masterplan team led by Allies and Morrison to create a ‘park town for future London’ underpinned by a commitment to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2030.
While on Old Kent Road Area, we joined a talented wider team of plot architects led by Maccreanor Lavington. This recognition is a testament to the collaborative effort involved in shaping a vibrant new piece of the city for the London Borough of Southwark.
A highlight of the event was hearing from Jerome Frost OBE, who was rightfully named Londoner of the Year. His speech on the future of our capital and the power of regeneration was truly inspiring, reinforcing the importance of the work we all do.
Congratulations to all the winners and shortlisted teams!
