Paulo trained in Porto. He joined Makower Architects in 2013, as a continuation of his creative collaboration with Tim Makower which began with their joint work in Doha while at Allies and Morrison.

Paulo brings considerable design talent, developed under the expert eye of Pritzker Prize-winning Alvaro Siza, as well as delivery expertise working in international and multidisciplinary projects throughout all stages of design and construction. He has worked for António Madureira and Alvaro Siza, Allies and Morrison, Sergison Bates and Beaudouin Architects.

At Makower Architects, Paulo plays a major role in coordinating and designing major masterplan projects, such as Hendon Waterside and Former Nestle Factory. He has also worked extensively on the design and delivery of office space at the Qatar Economic Zone in Doha, now completed. At Stratford Cross, Paulo worked on the S10 outline planning application, assisting with the design as well as test-fit studies for S2 & S3.
