A world-class stadium and future civic destination
Makower Architects were asked by Qatar Supreme Committee for Legacy & Delivery to explore the possibilities of locating a World Cup stadium at Celebration Park in Doha. The objectives for the study were to explore how the existing masterplan for the Qatar Cultural and Sports Hub, which located Celebration Park on the site of the original QP headquarters, could be adapted to give the greatest benefit for the Qatar World Cup in 2022, the making of Celebration Park and creating a lasting legacy for Doha.
